Mission Statement

The Gold Coast Neighborhood Alliance (GCNA), is dedicated to preserving the Gold Coast Neighborhood by:

• ·Protecting its historical assets and green space,
• ·Insuring that development in the neighborhood is rational and compatible with the character, style and scale of the prevailing built environment,
• ·Preventing the displacement of long-time residents by inappropriate and insensitive gentrification through direct involvement and collaboration with associations, organizations and groups that share similar interests.

Vision

This neighborhood will become a model environment; contributing to the goal of transforming Oakland into the model city envisioned by Mayor Dellums, by championing preservation of its historical assets and green space as well as building economic and social diversity among its residents.
